Are you considering a move to Ithaca, New York?  If you are trying to make the choice between here or other communities, how you visit can have a big impact on your decision whether or not we’re the right place for you. Consider the following four tips for a successful visit.

Stay a week or longer, if possible

While a weekend visit might be your only opportunity, you can get a much better perspective on this place if you have stay longer. A mix of weekdays and a weekend is a great way to get a view of the rhythm of the community. On the other hand, if you have a long time to plan, summer and fall are great times to visit.

Explore some neighborhoods on foot

You can gain a more useful insight into the community by walking the following neighborhoods: Northeast, Cayuga Heights, Belle Sherman, South Hill and downtown.  This is the best way to get a vivid sense of the community.

Get the local inside information

I am here for you if you would like a list of must-see places while here.  The tourism brochures are great, but there is no substitute for a professional real estate agent sharing information about this area 365 days per year.

Pay attention to what matters to you

Since you are the one thinking of living here, don’t make your decision based on what others are saying.  This is a great community, but you must be willing to experience our offerings and see the benefits for yourself.

If you decide to relocate here, I’ll be glad to help you get the lifestyle you want in a house you love.
